type='text'>Spring '10 Day 51 of 52</title><content type='html'>Almost time to close out on another challenge. &amp;nbsp;This challenge has been great, here are a few things that I've done during this challenge:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;I started the TNT diet, which I'm really liking! &amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Lost just under 10lbs and 3% body challenge I'm not focusing on pure weight loss but on body fat composition. &amp;nbsp;Since I've started the TNT diet, I've lost 6 lbs and 1% body fat. &amp;nbsp;I've also dropped another pant size. &amp;nbsp;At the start of the Winter '10 52DC I was a size 40 waist, I just bought my first pair of size 36 waist pants...something I hadn't done since high school!! &amp;nbsp;I've still got a ways to go, but this definitely working! &amp;nbsp;My wife is liking the results too! &amp;nbsp;;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This past week was busy with work so I dropped off on my RTs, but I'll be back at it this weekend. &amp;nbsp;I'm almost halfway done reading The Dark Tower II: The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cleaning and organizing around the house has made some nice improvements. &amp;nbsp;Especially in closet space! &amp;nbsp;It is much easier to clean something small once a day than to worry about a big cleaning project all at once.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stretching everyday has made my recovery after hockey games much easier. &amp;nbsp;Now that I'm playing 3 games a week, this is most helpful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CE:   29/32/85 type='text'>Winter '10 Finish Line, Spring '10 Starting!</title><content type='html'>I ended up doing great for the Winter '10 challenge!&amp;nbsp; I lost 13.2 lbs and met all my goals on my way to a GOLD+ medal!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here were my final results:&lt;br /&gt;CE: 94/104/80 (117.5%)&lt;br /&gt;RT: 12/12 (100%) - Barely made it here.&lt;br /&gt;CT: 27/15 (180%)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span class="ev_code_RED"&gt;PG1 (5% Challenge): 13.2/12.5 (105.6%)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PG2  (Days Without Soda): 51/30 (170%)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I just signed up for the Spring '10 Challenge!!&amp;nbsp; I won't be doing the 5% challenge this time, since I'll be doing the TNT diet and lifting more.&amp;nbsp; I'll be focusing more changing my body composition rather than pure weight loss.&amp;nbsp; I've increased all my goals and I'll have a better balance of RTs vs CTs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here are my goals for Spring '10:&lt;br /&gt;CE: 85/104&lt;br /&gt;RT: 20&lt;br type='text'>Winter '10 Day 51 of 52</title><content type='html'>One day left in the challenge and I've already hit all my goals!! &amp;nbsp;I'm glad I was able to stick with it and complete my first challenge. &amp;nbsp;I started off at 249.6 lbs and this morning I weighed in at 236.4 lbs! &amp;nbsp;13.2 lbs gone! &amp;nbsp;I need to find time to work in some more RT sessions during the week. &amp;nbsp;My CT sessions take care of themselves with the 2 ice hockey leagues I'm in.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My wife bought me a Polar F7 heart monitor for Valentine's Day! &amp;nbsp;I've been wanting to get one for a few months, and I love it! &amp;nbsp;I use it for all my workouts and it is great to see how many calories I actually burn and what my heart rate max and averages are. &amp;nbsp;I really like the fact that I can upload my workouts from the watch to an online website. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now it is time to think about starting the TNT Diet. &amp;nbsp;Might take the next challenge off to make sure my body adjusts to the new eating habits. &amp;nbsp;Or I could use the challenge to help me work my way through it. &amp;nbsp;Haven't decided yet. &lt;br type='text'>Winter '10 Day 29 of 52</title><content type='html'>Just bought the TNT Diet and the Big Book of Exercises books this week. &amp;nbsp;I like the concept behind the TNT Diet, I'm just a little worried about how it'll effect me in sports. &amp;nbsp;The TNT Diet is pretty much a how carb, high fat diet. &amp;nbsp;I play a ton of sports: hockey 2-3 times a week, racquetball 1-2 times a week, and softball once a week. &amp;nbsp;That is a lot of sports, but I love to play!! &amp;nbsp;My RTs are struggling a little bit since I play a sport 4-5 days a week. &amp;nbsp;I've always been told to have lots of carbs to play sports so I hope this new way of using energy will work out. &amp;nbsp;That is really the only thing that is keeping me from starting the TNT Diet right now. &amp;nbsp;I play racquetball and hockey competitively so I don't want to see a dip in my performance. &amp;nbsp;Softball is a beer (rec) league with coworkers and friends, so I'm not too worried about &amp;nbsp;Going to use this week to get all my goals to at least 50%...which really means finally doing some RTs this week. &amp;nbsp;I've got 2 scheduled for this week, so I should be ok. &amp;nbsp;Hoping to lose another pound to push my weight loss for the 5% challenge to 50%. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I lost a CE on Friday which was not planned, but I made up for it my eating clean during the football games this weekend...MAN WAS THAT HARD!! &amp;nbsp;After looking at my numbers, I'm glad I stayed on track. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think I'm going to start the workout/diet plan of the TNT diet soon. &amp;nbsp;I'm in the process of tracking down the book at Barnes &amp;amp; Noble. &amp;nbsp;The two locations near me are out of stock and the closest one that does have it is a 30 minutes drive. &amp;nbsp;Which wouldn't be bad, but the only time I have to drive over there and get it would be after work....making it a 1.5 hour drive in rush hour! &amp;nbsp;:( &amp;nbsp;I may type='text'>Winter '10 - Day 15 of 52</title><content type='html'>Clean eats are coming along much easier this time around. &amp;nbsp;It's so much easier to give up soda after 2 weeks, I don't have to think about it anymore. &amp;nbsp;Tons of water really isn't that bad. &amp;nbsp;I was able to get in a very good RT last night, and I know I'm going to be really sore tomorrow. &amp;nbsp;After lifting it got me thinking that when I lift I'm just making it up as I go right now. &amp;nbsp;To continue on the right path and to have a goal in sight I'm going to need a little direction. &amp;nbsp;So,&amp;nbsp;I'm looking at possibly getting a workout/diet book to help aid me from here on out. &amp;nbsp;I was thinking about the TNT Diet, Big Book of Exercises, or P90x. &amp;nbsp;Those are the 3 main ones that many people are talking about. &amp;nbsp;I've got to do a bit of research to see which would be most beneficial to me and something that will be easy to continue on after this I had a really good cardio session, even though it took me 30 minutes to warm up and loosen up my legs from Sunday night's workout. I was determined to catch up on my push up personal goal, so I knocked out 32 today!  I'm gonna feel it in the morning.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It has been a week since this 52 day challenge started and I'm finally starting to settle into the challenge mode.  I've focused a ton more on getting my CEs done.  When I started I decided that I was only going to weight and measure myself for my personal goals once a week, well that time is here and it's looking good so far.  I've lost 1.6 pounds but no inches off the waist yet. But I'll hammer one out tonight to get things started.
